Tarn is a bad guy who has little qualms doing bad guy things to other people. Tarn also has magical robot bag guy powers.

Comment if you're un/comfortable with any of the following:

Tarn has the ability to manipulate sparks with the vocal range of his voice. (With player permission) he can for ex: cause HUGE AMOUNTS OF PAIN STRAIGHT INTO THEIR ROBOT SOUL or even kill people this way (if they are spark-powered) CAN HE MESS WITH YOUR CHARACTER'S SPARK? (Provided they have one) Y|N?.
Tarn is also a tough cookie + a genius at sadism, CAN HE HURT YOUR CHARACTERS? Y|N?
Furthermore, Tarn knows A LOT of trivia about the IDW Decepticons, is there anything you'd like him (Me) to know in particular about your character? I haven't read all of IDW's published stuff, so LET ME KNOW IF I SHOULD KNOW SOMETHING? Y|N?
Tarn also has this day job (and hobby) where he hunts down (IDW) Decepticon traitors and brutally murders them. I'm not keen on stepping on any toes or barging into existing plots accidentally so WOULD YOU LIKE TO KEEP TARN AWAY FROM YOUR CHARACTER and/or PLOTS? Y|N?

EDIT: Tarn violence now includes violence caused by unfortunate turbofox mauling.

Sorry if my questions end up being repetitive, but I just want to get a better idea since I'm not 100% on how her canon works yet (I did read your app!).

Okay so, just to get a vague sense here, and jump in to correct me whenever, but if Saber was fighting an Evangelion with a Master (which is like a buddy that helps her power up?) would she be able to: Beat it easily, beat it in a near draw, or just barely be able to stand her own but not beat it?

I haven't seen a lot of Evangelion either, but I think Tarn might be as powerful/sturdy as one (Probably).

Now the same question applies without a Master. Would she probably only be able stand her own, needing to flee the battle to recuperate before she showed up for more? Or would she maybe be able to match fighting an Evangelion, and it depends on who has more stamina when it comes down to the winner. (Also, he's normal human sized, right?)

Am I close?

I don't mind you asking! This is new territory for me, as well, as I don't normally do multi-fandom roleplay. I don't know anything about Evangelion. ):

She'd be able to beat it easily, even without knowing about it, with a Master. (A Master is basically a magic/energy source for Servants.) She's quick, has ridiculously high defenses, and has Excalibur. Her Excalibur can level 3x3 city blocks when fully-powered. The problem with that is it draws a lot of energy from her, so ..

Without a Master, it'd be more of a game of dodging/outsmarting, and likely having to withdraw and recover if it went on for too long. She wouldn't want to drain herself dry. If she was desperate, she could throw off a half-charged Excalibur attack and then run for it.

It's hard to compare, really, since Heroic Spirits are so strong in their own canon. I also am not used to having ridiculously strong characters. Should we fight, I would like to discuss results ahead of time and write towards that. I definitely want to be realistic. Especially with her first fight with something like this, she'd be way more cautious and way less likely to want to go all out.

eta: I asked my husband about Evangelion, he knows, and he said she could def beat one with a decent Master.

Okay! Figure I've got a pretty good idea of her power level at this point, and yeah, sounds like she could beat Tarn. Boy oh boy, won't that hurt his ego.

Is he not too strong then? Perhaps some of his strength is in his cunning?

Oh he's pretty strong, but we don't know exactly HOW strong. He's a larger Transformer, but he's not among the LARGEST. His alternate mode is a tank, and he seems to be significantly sturdier than the average one too.

Looking for the third speech bubble, that's Tarn being stepped on by a robot in a GIANT robot suit. After about 5 minutes Tarn is totally fine and no worse for wear. I'm thinking this is unsual, and that being stepped on like that might cripple some other Transformers.

So I'm thinking Tarn could take a few of Saber's block-destroying hits, and her sword -- if it's magical and she's that powerful -- I imagine it could probably cut through him in a couple swings. Also, preeeetty sure Saber would be much faster and more agile than Mr. Hulking Hunk of Metal over here.

That said, Tarn DOES have a double fusion canon attached to him, so, being shot with that would probably be pretty damaging if he lands a hit? There's the huge size difference too, Saber would probably fit in the palm of his hand.

Of course, she has high defense, but being hit with something like that would be pretty severe. She has fast regeneration, but it's not instant, even with a Master.

I see, I see. I think they'd be pretty even with her without a Master (if she went all out, and he pissed her off enough to do so).

..And this just reminds me how little I know of Transformers. /herp.

This is all purely hypothetical since I don't really see Tarn picking fights with humans (yet) since they're so SMALL to him, but HAD Saber been a normal human, pretty sure a single blast from his fusion canon would... disintegrate her completely. Also, had she been normally human, he could crush her in the palm of his hand with relative ease too.

That's just to give you a feeling of his general size and abilities.

No, I totally understand that! I get the very basics of Transformers, and there's obviously some things like that you can figure out from just looking at them and knowing they're large sentient robotic beings. She's just not a normal human, even without a Master.

I've been watching the ruckus going on from Tarn appearing! Exciting stuff. I've been trying to figure out how to get Saber involved, but she's pretty clueless as is and doesn't really pry her nose into other peoples' business, generally. Some people she knows has been mentioning Tarn, so I think I will go in that direction.

Poor (not really, I suppose!) Tarn, he's got an army starting against him.

Haha and oh man, what a ruckus it is. IT ALL ESCALATED VERY QUICKLY and he hasn't even DONE ANYTHING YET. It's all very exciting, yes!

I can't really offer any suggestion for how to involve Saber because, truth be told... I don't even know what's going on! But feel free to toss her on team protagonist!

I am beginning to get that sense, yes. Meanwhile, Tarn is just: "hum de dum" and not even OVERTLY threatening anyone yet.

Looks like I need to up my game!

Actually, as of yesterday, Saber was asked by Drift to confront Tarn so they could learn more about him (particularly if his voice only affects robots for sure), and of course, after Blurr told Saber about Tarn and his back story, she agreed to.

So, seems that faceoff will happen sooner or later! I guess we all just need to plot on what we want to do!

Let me know if anything comes up... because really, Tarn currently has zero interest in humans. If he was approached, he might indulge one / his curiosity for a bit, but he really does think they're below him as a species (EVEN THOUGH SABER ISN'T A HUMAN... she's still really small) U_U
